Department of Diagnostic Sciences
The Department of Diagnostic Sciences is searching for a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate Professor or Professor. This position will also have an administrative appointment as the General Practice Residency Director. The General Practice Residency program trains six PGY1 residents each year and operates in the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Special Services Dental Clinic, and in the adjacent University Hospital Department of Dental Medicine.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, multi-disciplinary instruction and resident supervision in all phases of dental medicine, as well as leadership and administrative responsibilities in the Department’s pre- and postdoctoral teaching, clinical and service programs. Other responsibilities include management of patient care and the electronic health records, and mentoring of residents to prepare them for dental practice. The opportunity to participate in Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Faculty Practice and to pursue individual or collaborative scholarly activity is available and encouraged.
Requirements for this position include: A DDS/DMD or equivalent degree; completion of a CODA approved, hospital-based GPR Program. Candidate must have or be eligible for a New Jersey State dental license. Position will remain open until filled. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.
